Your future role

• Programming, operating, and maintaining CNC mills, CNC lathes, and conventional lathes
• Reviewing samples, technical drawings, blueprints and schematics, or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Planning the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Taking measurements and marking material for cutting or shaping
• Determining and programming size of batches and speed of machines
• Checking output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects

Required skills

• Technical degree in CNC Machining or extensive experience as a CNC lathe machinist in an industrial environment
• Ability to program equipment using Fanuc G-code and M-code
• Ability to drill, tap and de-bur various parts
• Skilled in reading and using calipers and tape measures accurately
• Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials
• Proficient in algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
