Jean Bélanger receives the Legion of Honour

Jean Bélanger, president and chief executive officer of Premier Tech, was presented with the insignia of Knight of the French Legion of Honour by the French ambassador, Mr. Michel Miraillet, during a ceremony held in Ottawa on June 18, 2024.

“Receiving the Legion of Honour goes beyond an individual recognition. Not only it acknowledges the collective journey of Premier Tech for over 100 years now, but it is also a statement of the strong and important partnership we have developed with France over the years,” says Jean Bélanger.

“This partnership is demonstrated through the continuous growth and local presence of our various business groups in the French market, enabling us to closely engage with our clients in France. It also shows that you can be deeply rooted in Québec while having a strong global impact. We are proud to take part in the economic and innovative drive of France, and this recognition only strengthens our determination to continue to create more opportunities in the years to come,” he continued.

For over 20 years, Premier Tech, a global company with its world headquarters in Rivière-du-Loup, has been actively investing in innovation and strategic partnerships in France to strengthen its local footprint. Premier Tech now has 450 team members in France spread across twelve sites, including eight industrial ones, in six different regions. With this footprint, Premier Tech ranks among the top 15 Canadian companies in France.
