An opportunity for growth and learning

An internship at Premier Tech is an opportunity for growth and learning. One week before starting my internship there, I was still too nervous to see it. I had just finished school, now on my way to something new and unknown. Without realizing it I started asking myself the same questions as every intern before me.

What if I fail? What if I’m not ready? What if I don’t know anything?

These doubts, while understandable, couldn’t have been further from the truth.

A warm welcome

My doubts vanished on my first day at Premier Tech. I nervously stepped in to meet everyone only to find, to my surprise, that they were looking forward to meeting me. Not only that: they valued the skills, knowledge, and ideas I had to bring. At first, I thought it was a fluke. It wasn’t.

Throughout my internship there was always something new going on at Premier Tech. Team members would ask me for feedback on a project they were preparing. If something needed a push, I had the chance to take the initiative and learn from it. No matter what it was, I was always encouraged to throw myself in.

I had no idea what would be waiting for me after leaving school. I thought the challenges would either be more than what I was prepared for… or that I would end up getting everyone coffee again.

Instead, I got to experience an environment that was welcoming, empowering, and collaborative. Every day was an opportunity to develop my skills and learn more, and there was always the chance to explore something new.
