Since the end of last week, new protective and social distancing measures have been issued by different governments. While already implemented in several states of the US, these new measures were announced yesterday in Canada, more specifically in the provinces of Québec and Ontario.
In light of these announcements, Premier Tech wishes to reiterate that its products and services — and hence its operations — are consistent with the descriptions of “essential services" in the jurisdictions where such instructions have been issued to date. Therefore, we reaffirm our commitment to maintain our operations recognized as essential and to suspend those that are not, while balancing our workforce to reflect the current level of economic activity.
Indeed, the products we build are at the forefront of maintaining the health of people, protecting the environment and contributing to the vital supply chain of feeding the population. In this present situation, which is affecting public health, we must ensure that the production and distribution of essential goods are maintained in order to secure an ongoing access to food, medicine and hygiene supplies, as well as for environmental protection.
Furthermore, in this critical global period, the objective remains to sustainably and proactively support all of our clients so that they may also contribute to reducing the impacts of this tumultuous period on the population.
Of course, the protective measures implemented in our offices and plants around the world are in keeping with — and sometimes exceed — the government’s and the Public Health Agency’s recommendations. Moreover, we must ensure that everyday life can move forward around the world, while staying in line with the protection of the population and the global effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Therefore, Premier Tech will continue to adapt to every recommendation issued by the governments so that together, we can get through this unprecedented period with strength and resilience.
