Premier Tech announces a $47 million investment in its Growers and Consumers business group to support the modernization and increase the production capacity of its Ontarian sites over the next five years.
Premier Tech appreciates the Ontario government’s financial support, which comes to a $2.8 million loan from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund, for its Saint-Isidore and Brighton sites. The Honourable Victor Fedeli — Chair of Cabinet and Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade — made the announcement today while visiting the plant in Brighton where he witnessed the impact of this investment.
“This significant investment aims to transform these two plants into state-of-the-art facilities within their respective markets and contribute to the company’s growth and competitiveness,” said Yves Goudreau, senior vice-president corporate development at Premier Tech.

The automation and optimization of these two plants will increase the company’s production capacity in Ontario. Thus, Premier Tech will better meet the demands of the home gardening products’ market in Canada. This investment will consolidate more than a hundred jobs and create 52 new ones over the next years.
“We value the deep local roots of our teams and are proud to take part in the development of the communities we are active in,” said Jean Bélanger, president and chief executive officer of Premier Tech. “By improving our capacity to meet the demands of our various business sectors, the modernization of these plants will help us make a difference for our clients and maintain our leadership in our markets.”
